By donating 10 PADI Open Water Diver Courses to students at Port Lincoln High School and Cummins Area School, we opened the door to new career pathways for students interested in our marine ecosystems.

The Open Water Diver Course is the entry level dive certification, and is fundamental for pursuing a career in aquaculture, tourism, or marine science. Many of the students who participated in this program have since gone on to complete their coxswains course and further their development for relevant industries.

We last ran this program in 2023, and aim to reestablish the program in 2026.
